Friedrich is a German caught in the tensions of morale in pre-WWII Germany.

Mike and his little brother are orphans of Pennsylvania who would risk everything to keep their grandmother’s promise.

Ivy is a “‘indulgent’” little girl trying to integrate into her new California dwelling where she is defined by the color of her skin instead of for her talent.  

Echo is a whimsical story of these three children doing their best to keep and support their family through the trials World War 2 brings upon them. With pianos, flutes, and even a cursed harmonica, Friedrich, Mike, and Ivy do their best to bring beauty into their lives.
